False. Pinetree has to prepare its own tax declaration and so does CUX.  If Pinetree wants to use CUX's losses, they will have to proceed to a fusion.  To do a fusion, both companies has to be registered under the same jurisdiction. Pinetree is under Ontario's jurisdiction and CUX seems to be under BC's  jurisdiction, which makes the fusion impossible. So I wouldn't count on that argument to buy CUX's shares.
