VANCOUVER, B.C. - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), which provides technology and services for tracking vehicles and fleets, said Tuesday its CEO and chief operating officer have left the company, effective immediately.

The company didn't give a reason for the departures of president and CEO Anwar Sukkarie or chief operating officer Cameron Fraser. Sukkarie and Fraser co-founded WebTech in 1999.

Scott Edmonds, formerly chief financial officer, has been appointed president and CEO and Owen Moore, former co-president of WebTech's recently acquired subsidiary, Grey Island, has been appointed chief operating officer.
"I look forward to leading the company, building on what has been achieved to date and to creating profit and shareholder value by continuing to focus on our proven key verticals and integrating the WebTech Wireless and Grey Island operations more closely under our Quadrant, Interfleet and NextBus brands," Edmonds said.

The company said it would record a charge for an unspecified amount as a result of these changes.
