Azucar Minerals Ltd T.AMZ

Primary Symbol: V.AMZ Alternate Symbol(s):  AXDDF

Azucar Minerals Ltd. is a Canada-based mineral exploration and development company. The Company is engaged in acquisition and exploration of mineral resource properties in Mexico and acquisition of property and equipment in Canada. The Company is focused on exploration of the El Cobre project in Veracruz, Mexico. The El Cobre Property claim block covers approximately 11,860 hectares, which contains copper-gold porphyry mineralization over a strike length of at least four kilometers (km). The property is located adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico approximately 75 km northwest of the city of Veracruz in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The Company has discovered five copper-gold porphyry zones within the property along an approximately four to five km trend, stretching from Norte down to Encinal in the southeast. The El Cobre Project is consistent with the porphyry copper-gold-silver-molybdenum (Cu-Au+/-Ag+/-Mo) deposit model.

RE: RE: hits 2.60!

RE: RE: hits 2.60!Now $2.72 and next to no product available.  Consider this;  At $10 they are only go par with Potash One and Athabasca - and those two need billions to develop their deep project.  AMZ is at surface, and already has development partners from the big funds run by Soros, Rodgers, et al, the Brazilian government, the state, and various other organizations.   Realistically, this should be worth way more than API and KCL this year.  It's starting to remind me of Aurelean.

Seaking of which, did anyone else realise they have an exellent gold project as well?  The company IPO'd based on the gold target alone at $1.20 cents when Gold was ~ $500.  It's now over $1000, and from what I understand, they could spin it out as a stand alone company which would give us shares in both companies.

AMZ GOLD:

The Madeira gold project located in Amazonas State of Western Brazil. The Company has completed a successful reconnaissance drill program. Gold mineralization was also encountered in the coarse-grained sandy stratigraphic layers occurring above and below the targeted Mocururu structure. Historically, buried conglomerate structures exposed by the Madeira River provided for reported gold production of over 1.6 million ounces. The interpretation of the geological setting is that the Mocururu mineralization is a result of the transport and deposition of gold and heavy minerals that were eroded during the uplift of the Bolivian Andes. Given the abundance of identified gold deposits in the Andean cachement feeding this basin, the Company believes it controls a highly prospective area. The initial results are the first clear indication that gold mineralization extends beyond the immediate vicinity of the Madeira River.

Due to the encouraging results of this initial phase of exploration, Amazon increased the project’s area to over 430,000 hectares, after work refining targets the holding has been reduced to 229,231 hectares. We are also conducting discussions with third parties to assess possible shared involvement in future exploration. The Company staked Madeira and holds 100% of the mineral rights. Further, there are no staged payments to underlying owners

They also have very interesting Vanadium, Copper/Zinc projects in their portfolio, so realistically they have years of project development inventory.
