RE: rough calculationFirst, some info...
Some quotes...
"Amazon has control of a near"infinite" supply of glauconite for a potentially "infinite" Braziliandemand for ThermoPotash, and by demonstrating the feasibility ofdelivering one to the other it is sitting on a potentially very largebusiness."
John Kaiser, Kaiser Bottom-Fish Online
"Thelow concentration, slow release fertilizer is a perfect combination forBrazilian soils. Verdete is the best alternative source of Potash forBrazil."
Dr. Marcello Veiga, Institute of Mining Engineering department of UBC and Amazon's Technical Advisor
"Definitely, verdete is a great solution for Brazil in terms of domestic productionof potash. I understand that we are fully able to seek and developtechnological solutions and complete studies for verdete and thegeneration of a new fertilizer. I think we have no other option for theState of Minas Gerais, but to embrace this opportunity and join inpartnerships to accelerate development."
Renato Ciminelli,Executive Manager of the Center of Mineral & Metallurgic Excellenceof the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher Education of theState of Minas Gerais (SECTES)
This week, Amazon reported an initial resource at Cerrado Verde of 105million tones of potassium oxide with a grade of 10.3%. The grade issignificantly higher than other known projects of this nature, and Mr.Veloso is confident that there is much more geological potential.
“The Funchal Norte Target
represents only a small portion of the geological potential
of the Cerrado Verde project. Coffey Mining used satellite
imagery technology to estimate the exploration potential
inside Amazon claims of approximately 15 billion tonnes of
glauconite mineralization.” It’s enormous! The catch is,
will their thermal potash economics work? We will know
that in a couple of months.
Well....the couple months have passed and imo with the recent appointment of Mr. Sampaio there's no doubt this thing is getting fueled up ready for lift off.
