could someone explain to me...

could someone explain to me...yerterday I went on a little more buying of one of my favorite stock(right now)....there was 19 lots asking .29...bought them at ask price = filled. then i look at the next ask(i wanted to buy more to start with) now 17 lots asking .29...i thought the next ask should have been higher,, you know..anyway bought it at ask price= filled. Then well looked at next ask price .29 17 lots..same bizarre i thought ..anyway bought it to at ask price filled on the spot.....next i look for next ask..well guest what .29 x 17 lots.......this was all on the last what..15 minute of trading by the end with 3 minute or so to go I was done....SHOULDN'T THE ASK GONE UP
Now how is that possible..... I meant I am , as such an amateur trader you know(still 12 years or so into it anyway) no fancy stuff for me. But this only ring one bell to me stock manipulation ( to keep it down in this case) .
Am I thinking right or just ignorant....Please let me know what you think. THKS
