RE: All dependsI tend to disagree on the latter point.
Barrick and Kinross building at Cerro Casale a mine. Thus, they ought to look out for economies of scale by buying some extra tonnage of minable and exploitable ore. This would not only increase the life of the overall mine (and the investments made for Cerro Casale) but will realise synergies by having two huge joint projects within a few kilometers.
