Last year West Timmins/ Lake Shore also did some exploratory directional drilling off their main holes as they too had to go deep to find mineralization, and rather than "reinventing the wheel ' by boring new & additionally expensive , & time consuming holes from surface, they used the existing main drill hole, already at desired depth to radiate outward a series of stacked wedge holes starting at or close to bottom depth and rising higher with successive holes to form what could comparatively look like an upside down tree trunk with additional branched coreholes coming off the main in different directions, the trunk representing the main core drill hole, and the branches representing the wedged tangential holes radiating from it.
