BTW, I was in Peru two weeks ago (not only in Lima, but also up in La Libertad and down to Arequipa) and I have never seen so much activity only 3 months before elections. I mean in previous years every time there was an election everything would freeze until newe goverment was elected: commercial transactions, new investments, etc. where send to the fridge until everybody was sure the new government was business friendly.
Now no matter who wins, people on the streets feel the economy path that started with Fujimori, was consolidated with Toledo and -thanks god - was continued with Garcia, will continue.
