RE: RE: RE: SLX vs HL

RE: RE: RE: SLX vs HL    "So the least i can do is hold my free shares , as much as it pains me to see other opportunities slip away. I let ethics and  scruples get in my way far too often . BUT i am still in the game LOL"

Based on the late morning response, once we got readable charts, I think the consensus, thus far at least, is that the charts look eeriely similar!  As to why, the jury seems to be still out on that!  (Anyway, based on that I postponed the cataract operation for the time being, so hold the glass and the glasses.)

What to do??  Well mouserman, who is probably one of the most respected analysts on this Board suggests, with a wry smile on his face mark you, that he's going to sit tight.  That's my view as well!  I don't like what I see, because I can't see me gaining from a short-term low price BUT, this stock has "all the makings" and I'll be d*mned if they are going to scare me away.

and now to digress ... about shorting and shorters:

When I was a young man and learned about the French Revolution, I could never understand how people could be so brutal as to send hundreds (plus) to the guillotine.

Later, as I learned a little more, the same thought went through my mind when I read of the Bolshevik Revolution and its massacres.

Still later, came Castro.  In an arena in Havana, hundreds of Batista supporters were summarily tried and sent immediately to a waiting firing squad.  Again, I was appalled and wondered how man could be so callous towards his fellow man.  (Women too, of course, but we always talk of fellow men - we being more callous an' all!)

Now, ... ah, now.. I'm starting to understand.  I'm starting to understand how man (and woman) can be like this.  I am beginning to understand that there comes a time when the loathing of the present corrupt system reaches a crescendo.  It is then that the "old" is swept away ... swept away with a vengeance that doesn't subside until all the vestiges of the old are replaced with something new.

And even though that "something" new may not be any better, it  will be different!

Phew!  I got that off my chest!  Now I can relax and wait till Monday when the whole cast is once more back on stage at 0930, and the farce can be replayed..  at least for a little while longer.

But look out "shorters" !  (That's what they (well, maybe it's just me) call all those who lost their head to the guillotine.  The next instrument of death will probably be erected on Wall Street, and I might just try and get a seat in the front row.  (I used to know how to knit.  Plain stitch only, I admit, and then only for one unended line of stitches.  But you need to know how to knit if you want to sit in the front row, mes citoyen.)

In view of the coming crisis,, I am advised, "Stock Up!"

Well, if they'd get the d*mned stock up in the first place I wouldn't have to go down to Wall Street with my knitting needles, would I now!
