GXS vs SMI

So where was the coal finding located when GXS found it's coal?
I wasn't around during that discovery but a quick look at the chart showed a solid raise in SP for 2-3 months from 40c to $17. When did they publish that the coal was useless? At the $17 price point? I can still see this stock have a short term high growth period.
