RE: NEWS

RE: NEWSThe reason there's no news or updates is because they've not got any news that is resolutely positive. Every silver lining has got a chuffing huge cloud attached, so they're adopting a 'say nothing if you can't be really positive' stance. eg the toll milling arrangement with RAB was only for 30 days and this expires this weekend or next and RAB are playing hardball about their willingness to extend let alone the terms on which they might continue - so what's the point of releasing an update about that when all investors will take is that the edge is still there - and it would also only serve to strengthen RAB's hand in the negotiations.
However, the good news is that during the toll milling I suspect they'll have poured something like 1000 - 1200 oz of gold, so at least the treasury will not be completely empty and they can pay some of their trade creditors and postpone any further fund raising.
What we all need to know is what they're going to do once the toll milling trial is over: as far as I can make out the recovery has been absolutely stunning (at least relative to usual ANX performance!).  But if they can't extend the toll milling we could be left with another period of uncertainty as they try to restart the backend of the PC mill or they could just sell the concentrate off-island.  I would hope that this info is released at the same time as the quarterley results due now.
Hold on tight - we should know how they're going to raise the next slug of revenue within the next week.  Let's just hope it does away with the need for another fund raising.
