I really hope for the Canadian Technology industry that RIM bounces back but you have a sense that things do not look good even prior to the news release.

What RIM should be considering is buying Nortels patents. Google has aggressively pursued it with a 900 M bid for patents worth billions!. Rim should get more involved with cloud computing communication systems and maybe buyout small firms like 01 Communique and develop an online cloud computing system. Patent acquisition is the new Gold in IT.

It's time for RIM to start changing there business strategy instead of playing catch-up. Apple would of been dead if it never moved on and developed the iTune device...Sony in the old days flourished with the Walkman.

Reinvent or vanish.
