Rayonier conference call

Rayonier conference callI just listened the Rayonier Q1 CC. Here are some notes :

1. They are producing around 500 000 tons/year of specialty cellulose

2. They are selling the pulp at around 1587$/t. They implemented price increases in 2011.

3. They want to increase their capacity by 120 000 tons/year. They are waiting for their board to approve the expansion. If approved, it will not be online before 2014.

4. Regarding the overall world increase of capacity for dp, the CEO said the exact same thing than Chad in its last   business update. The increase is compensated by  additional capacity in viscose staple fiber.

Rayonier is not a "pure play" in dissolving pulp, they also have a large timber division. However, they are currently trading at more than 20 times their projected 2011 earnings (3$).
