RE: This is the way I see it.SimpleFacts, I agree with you. I think Excellon has to do a much better job of explaining their rationale for this deal.
So far, judging by how much the EXN stock price has gone down since they announced this deal,  it looks like the market doesn't like it.
IMHO, EXN management is losing focus with this deal. They should be concentrating their efforts on finding the elephant at Platosa and not be distracted with looking for gold in Timmins. 
If EXN shareholders thought the prospects for finding gold at Lateegra were so great, they could have gone out and bought Lateegra stock. It already was publicly traded. IMHO, EXN shareholders don't need EXN management making this decision for them.
