RE: From the Corporate Presentation"no aboriginal land issues"?!
Shell----over 51% of sask pop are 'first nation'
under native claims settlement, each band got millions of $, plus about 75,000 acres, which they can designate "at a later date"
The bands have mostly conserved thier money, are goodbusiness men and ---obviously---have tremendous political clout.
Don't think i quite buy the 'no aboriginal land issues' as I have seen projects/property awarded, a 'done deal' and then natives stepped in with 'er......we don't think we like this"----and it absolutely don't fly.
the co---or it's boosters----have minimized various concerns consistently----but that don't make it so.
I encourage you to do your own DD, if you considering an investment in this local, or if you are perhaps considering an investment in this co.
As far as 1 to 1 strip---I find smi's 1 to 2 strip far more enticing---and thier coal intersect is 88m---between the interest in 'coal to liquids' and 'upgrading to coking coal' in that area, smi, wtr, gxs,--shoot, even swift----all look like far more viable plays---on a resource that is proven and in much demand.
