while 18 may be ways off at present gold prices, it will be speedbump to a 8x multiple when gold finally reaches $5000 ---- because that will in all likelihood accompany a manic phase.  If something goofy happens in Europe along with the U.S. then 2500 gold could take everyone by surprise and $18 could be low.
