The fact that governments (example Greece, USA) that are having serious economic problems never discuss the sale of their gold tells you all you need to know about gold. At the same time, they try to convince the masses that gold is a "barbarous relic". Consider a country like Canada that has sold off all of it's gold. How vulnerable will it be if we all return to a "gold standard", and how ignorant of this fact is the average Canadian. It reminds me of when Kennedy told Diefenbaker that jet fighters were obsolete in a missile world, and Diefenbaker immediately cut up all of his Avro Arrows and dumped them in Lake Ontario. I wonder who convinced the Canadian Government that gold is a "barbarous relic"? History repeats. Makes me proud to be a Canadian!!!!
