Ethiopia Sept 15-Oct 15 Oma Valley, and Danakil Depression:Travelers needed
My girlfriend and I are friendly Canadians backpacking thru various countries along our journey through
Africa. We are heading to
Ethiopia Sept 15th, 2011, and will be there for a month, and are wanting to go up to the Danakil Depression, and also to see the Oma Valley tribes, in the South.
We are looking for 1-3 people to link up with to travel to these places, to cut down on costs and make the experience more memorable. We heard that both these places can be really expensive especially if you have to book a tour or don't have your own vehicle. So were hoping if we can find another traveller or two, then we can rent a truck or 4WD car to go up to the Danakil Depression from Addis Ababba on one trip and maybe fit in the simian mountains and lalibela along the way to make a circuit in the north. For the South I think we could hire a vehicle again and drive down south to the Oma valley while stopping at sheshismay which is supposed to be a really cool place full of real rasta africans. If we can find some people to join us, it would be awesome!
If anyone is looking to travel to these places please reply to this thread and also email us at: arietangel@hotmail.com OR kevin.oneofakind@gmail.com to ensure we can link up.
ALSO: we don't really have set plans if were headed south or north but open to suggestions for either one. If you may not be in Ethiopia at this time but have some suggestions for us of if you've travelled in Ethiopia, that would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
