RE: RE: RE: chet's price

RE: RE: RE: chet's pricegold...

I'll stick around. I hope for all of you that you get that price however my model and the markets assumptions of ole's asset does not. ask yourself why is it at 1? it should be at 2 or 3 if the asset is that good.

the basic answer to that question is simple. not all mining projects and assets are equal. someone here said fronteer got taken out for 2.3b for 42% premium. people here assume if they can get 2.3b so should ole the same amount because we have the same amount of ounces on the m & i category.

people also use andean, well sorry mate but this is no andean where the ore is shallow and easy to get at. thats why goldcorp paid a premium of 35%.

I've invested in many mining co's over the years the last 10 years some of them are still around some of them are gone  right now here are my holdings bought/held within the last 3 years.

OSK held since 2008, return to date 800%, looking to unload at 18.
DGC held since 2009, looking to unload at 40, but return to date 400%
GBU held since 2009, getting impatient and but its a good play on EGU's success. return to date is 300%
EGU held since 2010 return to date 100%
ELD 2011 - I'm selling this stock - since it'll take a run at EGU, return to date 25%
K - held since 2008, return to date 70% should've dump this pos long time ago.
BSX 2011 - so far so good, this is my wait and see and the drill bit will have to be cranking - return to date, 80%
12 ounces of gold bars from scotia bought at 1050-1175. return to date, 50%.

holdings that got taken out within the last two years for I thought was bargain basement prices but at the time these companies were short of cash, plus the financial crisis plus whatever else but still made money so all good.

BBR, TRX, AQI,

loosers that i sold for a loss.

ABX - 10%
LSG - 50%
CEE - 25%
ADM - 50%
UUU - 60%
AST - 25%
IAE - 35%
and many others but these are top of the head ones that just didn't pan out. plus many other mining stocks that I day or week traded for a quick profit.

on my watch list

GSC
SMF
PRU

i"ve done well overall and I've done my dd, run my own models, i take the time to read the mda and financials of the company and most importantly study and continue to study other takeovers that's potentially in the works. i also study geopolitical risks since these mining projects are often are in those areas that are not kind to mining. the POG helps certainly but I'm looking at 5 year horizon on some of the jrs. and that drill bit better be cranking up. i also look at past management and who they are where they came from and etc...

I've paid my mortgage and paid more in taxes in canada (greatest country in the world) and I'm less than 40 years old. I've traveled to some of these mining projects just to have a look for my own and I don't hesitate to buy or sell - I go big or I go home.
