Decision-Plus InterviewFirst off, I wanted to thank Electricsockets for sharing the link to the interview. It was definitely a very good interview that gives you a very good feeling as an investor in this company.
I wanted to make note of something that I don`t think anyone has mentioned regarding the interview. It involves Mr. Braun`s comments regarding Health Canada, CE and Australian approval. As we all know, he states that Health Canada approval is his first goal. He then states that, because the process in Europe is similar, Verisante will go after CE approval once Health Canada approval is obtained (or at least that`s how I was interpreting him). Now, what was really interesting was his next comments about Australian approval. He mentioned that Aussieland recognizes the CE mark, but that it also requires the device to be `registered`, which takes a couple of months (I`m probably paraphrasing here, but that was the essence what was said in the interview). By the sounds of it, or at least how I interpreted this, that means they are probably going to try for Australian approval after they obtain the CE mark. But note that Mr. Braun mentions he believes they will have Aussie approval by year end as well.
So let`s add this up ...
Aussie approval by year end. This `registration`period, which Mr. Braun stated takes a couple (i.e. 2) months, means they would need to apply no later than end of October. And because you need CE approval for Australia, this means that they would already need CE approval in place by the end of October. Now, assuming the CE approval process takes a few weeks at least, this puts us at least to middle of October. And the way I was interpreting the interview was they wanted HC approval before getting the CE approval. So that possibly means they`ll be aiming for HC approval no later than early - mid October ... which would be 2 - 4 weeks from now. If they`ve allowed for more time than a few weeks with the European regulators, then that puts the expected HC approval even sooner.
Interesting stuff. I know there were a few assumptions in there, but that`s how I was interpreting the interview and if that interpretation is correct, Verisante is probably VERY close to HC approval.
This is my first post on the board. Have been quietly following for a while. I think this one definitely has potential so I`m long and optimistic. Best of luck to all Verisante longs.
Cheers,
