Scotia Mining Conference webcast

Scotia Mining Conference webcasthttps://www.newswire.ca/en/webcast/play/886533/944997

Registration required, might need to go to Scotia website. Jeff Hussey, EVP of development of Champion presenting. Good presentation:
*
1) Quesnel's role clarified. He's currently marketing the project in Europe, along with Tom Larsen.
*
2) Why are they drilling up all the properties? They are focused on developing Fire Lake North, but want to drill off other properties to add value to the shareholders.
*
3) Rail issues: "base case" is to connect to the Bloom Lake railway, but also looking for better options because of the "high cost of transportation."
*
4) Related to that, lots of discussion of Plan Nord. Hoping for partnership with Quebec government on a fast track basis. Expects future production up to 200 million tonnes of iron ore from Labrador Trough region (Quebec official calls this the "big bang") and acknowledges that infrastructure growth is a must for that to happen.
*
5) Expects announcement this month of beginning of Sept-Iles port expansion construction, target date Q2 2014.
