RE: Jan 17 - 2012

The quarterly earnings announcement is a non event for cline which right now is a start up company.  CLine will have no revenues (the coal sold if any to date will be net against certain expenses until they consistently produce coal) and thus incur a large loss.

The only items that provide additional insight is the cash / debt availability on the balance sheet and the commentary on the MD&A which will mainly rehash the press release.

I would be waiting for a news release indicating the following:

  • continuous miners in place and mining x amt of coal on a consistent basis
  • results of long wall study
  • signed customer contracts (maybe by the end of 2012 as I doubt they will stockpile enough coal as I don't believe the 2.5M tonnes guidance - maybe 2.5M ounces)

Use the stock pop that will follow any of these releases to reduce your losses.  If these guys can't get their act together which is likely the stock will crash again on further financing fears.
