A great story. I think, unfortunately, the folks at AXi have previously been sold a great story. but as a few years of passed, investors are seeing that while they talk the talk, they dont walk the walk. Maybe a new, bigger, greater story will spur investors to once again hop on the bandwagon with the promise, or hopes of a $4.00 stock. As long as no one reminds them that the stock has hit 3.00 in the past....and then gone down to .07.
AXI must, absolutely must, resolve the RB plc ownership issue. Until then they are to the big investors what garlic is to a vampire. It would help to, when they announced that the DFS will be done in the first quarter of 2012, if they did not add a bit of flavor by stating things like , but we will try to have it finished up by the end of 2011. More than one or two of the posters here did not seem to get the "try" part, and for a while were posting that it would be done by the end of 2011....This well intentioned optimism ultimately has a negative effect, as people see the company as not performing as promissed, when , in fact, it was not them, but some of the posters who in their eagerness promoted the impression.
I posted this last year, and I will post it again.. AXI has to focus on thier core assets. Spinning off their other assets, as suggested by Venman would be welcome. They simply did not have the funds to be chasing opportunities in South America or Alaska, and wasted time and precious financial resources persuing them instead ot concentrating on more drilling and proving up the potential better. As a cynic, I am tempted to believe that this diversification of thier plans last year was little more than a PR effort to promote their stock, and unfortunately any announcements this year of a similar nature will be met with even more skeptacism.
At this point , I am skeptical on any announced plans for 2012 until there is some money in the bank...and by that I mean the cheque has actually been deposited, as last year again, many of the posters castigated me for suggesting the money was not there, and it was only a matter of invoicing the chinese for work done....
There will be time to buy in if there is any real fundamental improvement to the company finances, or even if they manage to get enthusiasim going for a short while with a great new story.....fun to trade in unless you get caught when the music stops and the big boys take their profits and run while telling everyone to hold, hold hold, and buy more.
I am thinking using nuclear energy to power the mine..Or maybe super subermanies to transport the concentrate....Maybe solar power in the summer and lunar power in the winter...All so much bettter ideas than money in the bank.
BTW..has anybody else noticed that the optimistic ones seem to now take two posts to state what could have been done in one....Whats up with that? Surely not an attempt to bury posts that disagree with their opinion.
