The cost of servicing the average well in canada.

First let me tell you about a small oil company and the problems they had on servicing a well. About three years ago this company did some service work on a well that lost pressure the well was in the loydminster area. They pulled the pump and found it was good so they put it back and tried it, still no pressure. They pulled all the casing and found that the hole in the casing was 90 feet down the well after they pulled 2000 feet. The cost of this service was 32 thousand dollars.

With the use of this technology there would have been no need to pull the pump or pull all the casing. The technology would have told them where the problem was and would have saved them over 20 thousand dollars. Now think of how many wells there are in western canada only. In the loydminster area alone there are 35 thousand. The average well has to be serviced because of problems every 18 months. Some wells are serviced every 10 years others are serviced every 4 months.

Read the conclusions is the next post.
