Maturity Date When I look at the following debenture info my focus turns to the date of maturity.
Advanced Explorations $5-million debenture financing
2012-03-12 20:47 ET - Private Placement - Debenture
The TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation with respect to a non-brokered private placement for Advanced Explorations Inc. announced Oct. 31, 2011:
Convertible debenture: $5-million
Conversion price: convertible into common shares at 45 cents per share
Maturity date: June 1, 2012 (or upon filing the definitive feasibility report with respect to the Roche Bay project or earlier)
Interest rate: non-interest bearing
Insider: Xinxiang Pipes (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. $5-million
What does this date of June 1 2012 say or make you speculate?
It tells me that XXP wants their ownership to go up in AXI relatively quickly, and why should that be?
AXI did put out news about a company restructuring of assets so I guess XXP wants a higher ownership of the company when this happens. Perhaps because it will may them more money.
This Maturity Date also tells me that the DFS will roll out before June 1 2012 and that upon filing XXP will take shares at 45 cents. So we get a good timeline here on the DFS.
