RE: Someone manipulating this thing...

Toasted,

I think this company is being heavily shorted. This is something you need to take into account; especially when trading the Venture. Your observations indicate unusual trading activity. Someone may be defending a large short position by holding a small number of shares in another account, either their own or that of someone else acting in collusion. When you buy 20,000, they sell 500 on a down tick automatically. This keeps continuous and relentless downward pressure on the share price. The objective is to bust the company. There is supposed to be market surveillance for this sort of thing, but I have serious doubts that regulators can effectively monitor these kind of activities.

I don't know if you noticed, but Stockwatch.com is reporting 1923 trades on a total volume of 1,291,300 shares for today. The average trade is only 671.5 shares. This is a penny stock. Who needs to make so many miniscule trades?

As others already mentioned this company has $100 million in the bank. Therefore, they won't need to finance anytime soon. This has nothing to do with fundamentals. The Venture is a jungle. You need to pick your entry points very carefully. In a thinly traded market like this one a determined short attack will usually machine gun a company. The downward momentum scares off any potential buying interest. Why buy now, if you can get it for
less later? That's the psychology. Eventually, the shorts run out of room. At 50 cents the company enterprise value will be effectively reduced to zero.
