LNG

LNG

I read your post RP.  The source of power for the mine is of great interest to me, and it might ultimately determine the feasability.  Diesel is a tried technology, but hugely expensive, particularily if there is any form of concentration being done, or the production facitilites are large during the winter.. Wind power has a large capital cost, and I do not think is a stand alone source, but I could be wrong on that.  LNG may be an acceptable alternative if the numbers work...

I would have thought that this all would have been considered a long time ago, so I am a bit surprised and disappointed that it is being explored at this late a stage in the feasability study, and I am afraid that it may become a deciding factor, which is why the DFS is not being released as promissed.  It is certainly a worry until they have a proper, and economicly feasable solution.

Perhaps someone who has done some DD on this and has the numbers can give us all a bit of actual technical perspective .

I am also concerned about the land transportation side of things.  Roche Bay itself , while relatively close to the much championed potential port, is not on flat ground.  And from what I can find out (albeit done a while back), a possible port facilty has not been approved by the various approving bodies.

The DFS will definitely help rid us of speculation and calm the worry.
