RE: RE: China Process You're making the same dumb mistake of accepting Gingerich's position that there are Chinese officials involved right now with AXI-XinXing interaction. There is no signed JV deal therefore there is no approval process.
The slow Chinese process is a myth. The government officials have nothing to do with it. The reality is that XinXing has made a business decision to hold off on signing the JV deal outlined in their framework for negotations.
When the feasibility study comes out their decision to not sign the deal, and not fund $20 million to pay for the study, will look smart.

Actually, all the same officials do work on all the Chinese foreign investment deals. The National Development & Reform Commission approves all deals. But it's a moot point because there is nothing for them to approve yet.
