I just listened to the Whitecap presentation from the Enercom conference. They bought Compass and they were very excited about the Viking play. They bought Compass for 93 million all in and in lesss then a year have realized 39 million in cashflow and increased production dramatically. Novus doesn`t get much appreciation as it is incrediably boring. No eye popping results but as a play its a cashflow machine. Novus on its own will not get appreciation but as part of another company with more capital intensive projects it would be fantastic. In Dave Pescod`s letter today Steve Toth the Cannacord domestic analysis said that it was  his top pick. I think patience is required for this as their will be no single news release barring a takeover that makes it skyrocket. It will just be a slow and steady climb inproduction and reserves that the market or another company will eventually recognize. In the mean time it is very frustrating to watch it stall out as other leap ahead.

 

Also I feel like although Westfire and Novus are in the same play it isn`t really fair to compare them. Sprott had their talons so far into Westfire and wrecked them over first with the Orion merger and secondly by getting them to merge with Guide. They manipulated the situation for their long term benefit. Just my opinion and maybe I`m reading into it too much but I see no other reason for the deal to occur.
