slickvguy. I somewhat agree but u have to understand this gov't is politicalizing the nexen and progress deals only after nervous nellies began to make noise. It is obvious both deals met the net benefit test or else china and malaysia woould not submit their offers.

What disgust me is the gov't interfering with Canadian Constitution Acts where it stipulate all mineral rights are under provincial judrisdication. Ottawa and the Eastern Canada can not tell Alberta how, what or when about Alberta's oil and gas, the same way Alberta does not tell mcguinty how to manage (more like screwing up)  Ontario energy policy or how many tree should Quebec cut down. Nexen is headquartered in Alberta, Redford approved the deal, shareholders approved the deal, that's all it's really needed to sell Nexen under the constitution.
