What what I'm reading, that conspiracy theory isn't what's doing it.

What is freaking out many in the market is that we have a Democrat president with a Republican-controlled congress... and a looming issue regarding the debt ceiling in the coming months.

The concern is that the Dems and Republicans won't be able to work something out given the Republican's recent history of mindlessly saying no to everything... with the dumb idea that they think it will make them look better politically.
