Ezzy On Care & Maintemance Gold one has fired 1425 of there 1900 workers at the ezzy mine due to illegal strike action. They have stopped operations at the mine for a min 30 days or until they find it safe to start it back up and strike action has stopped. For the time being it is on care and maintenance. They said that ezzy is only a marginal operation and have increased police presence to discourage intimidation at the mine.
