Going to POT... So after putting up the price to $unreal/tonne to India and China a couple of years ago POT et al have a backlash of delayed demand causing them to cut back production and keep the price around $450/tonne.
Having fought off a takeover by BHP they tried to increase their 11% holdings in Israel to 51%+ which has been turned down and would have cost $10 Bill. + but obviously they want to expand their role and have cash.
Now from previous information printed. Here is one of their bigger customers trying to buy in to their own neighbourhood and JV with a junior upstart. Remember the ridicule when a previously interested party supposedly backed away. ( or was that even " the cat and mouse " game).
Must be irritating to the point where it might be better just to buy them out, control supply and familiarise a technology that will come in to play when conventional mining access gets used up.
JMHO but I think a compelling argument for a bid from POT when F.S. announced.
