Silver shortage

Silver shortage

This past weekend I met with my bullion broker, who I have been using for about 5 years now. I hadn't seen him in a few months, and found this interesting. I'm a buyer of junk silver, and in the last few months he has completely run out of everything smaller than the 50cent coins. I used to buy a lot of the silver content dimes and quarters. He said that nobody comes in to the store to sell their junk silver anymore, and that he's having to order a lot more from the mint to keep up with demand.

As I watch the 10am paper sell-offs almost every morning, I have to believe that these games will not last much longer. At a certain point (maybe now?) there are enough people who understand the game, and when there is critical mass the paper exchanges will fail.
