JReynolds, I would rather vote against the merger and see AVF implode.   The idea that Avenex management 1) sells a strategic asset without voter approval under market value, 2) gives away the $80M cash proceeds to a company with nearly $80M of negative working capital (effectively valuing the AVF resources as not worth anything), and 3) collects their bonuses for a change of control event is intolerable.

 

It's like we hired someone to take care of a house we owned and they sold our most valuable furniture in a fire sale, gave the cash proceeds to some bum who is deep in debt, and then showed up asking for us to pay them a special bonus because they don't get to collect a salary anymore.
