I don't know if it is safe. From last years Frog Lake reserve writedown and the Pincher Creek fire to this disaster at Primate and wells freezing and not performing the dividend might eventually be toast. When the shares contract the net gain is an underperforming asset that investors get out of. They no longer perceive the investment as safe and predicatable but instead volatile and the risk of investing in the firm for the dividend is crushed by shares that are too prone for sell offs due to too many operational and technical issues. Why buy at $2.60 to $3.00 if the shares get baked off because of analysts who bought the story but now begin a slew of downgrades and us ordinary retail slobs can't get a decent return. I'm bewildered that an advertised 19.200 boe/d outfit is now guiding to 17,100 boe/d with 17,400 being the average and they can't drill to get it back up or the dividend is threatened or eventually cut or eliminated.
