if cnooc didn't bid on nxy, i bet nxy would be trading at around $12 a share.   Given all the problems have surfaced on the oil sands business, who want to buy canadian oil sands right now?  All those beaching on china gonna steal our oil sands blah blah blah are fading fast.  The nxy and progress deals are prolly the only good news from the oil patch so far.  Now the east want to upgrade the bitumen, before that they were bashing our dirty oil.
