RE: RE: The future of Sandstorm Metals

RE: RE: The future of Sandstorm Metals

excellent post Elmo.  matgirl is expressing legitimate concern but i agree the value proposition remains intact if revamped to target byproduct or complimentary streaming deals with larger operators.  reduce operational risk, still play the streaming leverage space.  that said, gold price vs coal & gas depression was really the primary dictator of SND vs SSL 5 bagger performance to date.

NW and DA cut their teeth in SLW back to 2006 so they now have 6-7 yrs experience doing streaming deals in PM space with approx 40 precedent deals.  there was no precedent experience in industrials.  NW was asked at PDAC presentation last year how they compensated for internal experience deficit in the industrials space and he answered with consultants.  since then SND added an oil & gas expert and the IFC's Bruington on staff with vested interests, not consultant fee goggles.  now the good news, SND will learn from the performance to date.  SND has been "quiet, too quiet" for months which is b/c they are in cleanup mode with terex and ndx before targeting new deals.

i think matgirl is right if they continue with same deal historic profile but my bet  is NW and DA will build a better mousetrap.  or at least start protecting the cheese
