Pasta, is neither a French nor an English word and your language police doesn't want that to be used in restaurants. Did the Francophone invented pasta under any other name ? Is there a French word for pasta ?
French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and some Romanian are languages derived from Latin and English is an Anglo-Saxon with lots of of Latin words for their origin. Are we going to eliminate all those words from the English dictionary because our identity might feel threaten ? No, we feel very secured borrowing words from other languages which might enhanced our own and help us express an idea better.
So, why did you gave yourself an "English" name like..."the boss" ? Isn't there an hypocrisy ?...just curious, that's all !
