RE: dosperros..........

You're probably not going to find any with more first-hand knowledge in more places in this sector than myself.  Louel has more time in and is a sharp guy.  But, I may have had more opportunities to visit dozens of facilities.  Primary investigation is everything.

If you want to know the difference, fundamentally, it's that it's tough work to be a subtractive manufacturer.  It's hard to automate sawmilling -- each log and board is different.  This generally requires more manpower.

OSB is macro-level  3D printing.  It's subtractive/additive.  You strand your variable inputs to a standard product and then reform it to board with automated processes.  The small stuff goes in the middle (with bark, rocks, whatever else is used as a bulking agent.)  It's easy to manage 4" strands that are all the same.  Have you seen a forming line or press?  The exception is trades are heavier in OSB with more automation, so more sensitivity to the patch being distortive.  And you know LPX does not have to offer massive wages to bring men in.

But I would like to know if you're long or short. This will help shape my position.
