I attended ZEN CEO Aubrey Eveligh's presentation at PDAC last month. It was eye-opening.
He prefaced his remarks by stating his resource was not vein graphite, but vein-type graphite. There is a huge distinction between those two characterizations.
What was jaw-dropping however, was the physical dispostion of those vein-type pockets of graphite spread around the property. They are many, but spaced in a helter-skelter array throughout the resource.
He said a mining method had not been finalized. Here's why:
It would require an open pit method to extract those pockets down to a depth of 600 meters, and/or an additional investment would be required for an underground mining operation to get to the bulk of the ore.
The costs of either type of extraction would be grossly enormous.
