RE: Canfor reported good earnings as well. Smaller firms typically take longer to report because they don't have a large accounting department to spread the workload. Also, oftentimes, a small firm accountant is involved in much more than just simply ticking and bopping spreadsheet every time month-end rolls around.
I don't think there is necessarily anything in the works, i.e. a buyout, if that is what is being implied.
This stock price is languishing because too many investors can't handle volatility that comes part in parcel with smaller firms like WEF-T. It's their loss, as they'll miss the upside, once the market finally snaps out of Lehman induced collapse paranoia. Unfortunately, thanks to all the dicking and dithering around in Europe and other financial troublespots around the world, we've still got a boatload of chicken little investors who are too afraid to put money into anything other than blue-chip dividend stocks - to the point that these dividends stocks are trading at multiples much higher than historical levels. Can't wait for the sky to come crashing down on all those chicken littles, when the dividend bubble finally bursts, and they realize they would have seen much more upside in their portfolios had they been accumulating shares in companies like WEF!
Patience my friend!
