WPX buyout price prediction

WPX buyout price prediction

I think the buyout price will be between $200 million and $250 million, or in other words $1.10 - $1.38 / share.  At the present time I don't think the market supports much more than that.

Especially, I think the buyout will be substantially less than KCL's $434 million.  But I think people should still be happy with these numbers - anyone who's been buying recently can still make a fortune from a $1.38 buyout.

We should be particularly happy that we're not KRN owners, whose stock price (even after its enormous decline), is still too high to get much of a premium from an acquisition.  And despite what some people have said about their off-take agreement, KRN is still not going to be able to fund the construction without being acquired by a large player.
