Not gone - was on vacation in Europe

Not gone - was on vacation in Europe

Hi all,

.

My apologies for not being around for a bit. I was on vacation in Europe (Rhine River Cruise, then Amsterdam, then Florence). It was a great getaway and I was trying to avoid things like work, Reliance, etc. and concentrate on history, art, good wine / food and so on.

.

I know we've all heard this before, but I spoke with Nick upon my arrrival home (yesterday) and have been told to keep my eyes and ears open, as he is again stating that he believes we are very close on the financing. As always, take this as hearsay until it becomes announced reality. He has indicated that he has spent a great deal of his time over the past weeks to close a deal (and there were a couple of avenues with potential) and that he believes he now has one that will now move forward. Paperwork and confirmation of signatures and cash in the bank are the proof of this, not discussion, and the statement that it "looks good" is just that - talk - until pen goes to paper..

.

If Nick is able to close a financing here finally and we start to see functional progress (money going into marketing and into the ground), he will deserve some kudos for finally pulling this off. I have heard through a few sources, that the mess created at the board / executive level over the past year has had as much to do with the mess we are in as a company as anything, and getting over that hurdle is going to take work, better communication, more efficient business process, etc.

.

I will try to update more as soon as possible.

.

Salut,

Leigh McBain
