While ASC decisions vary from Offense to Offense and of course circumstances, settlements with those conflicted that have cooperated and admitted to offenses get a big fine, must pay the investigative fees and are banded from trading stocks for a period of time and are kick out of anything dealing with public stock trading. Those that don't cooperate with ASC are usually fined, pay the investigative fees, banded from holding a position with a public company, banded from trading stocks for a period of time (5 or 10 years) and banded from any dealings with public trading of stocks or holding other positions in public companies. I believe this type of band would block Ed from selling his shares for whatever period the ASC determines. Not sure how this effects his wife's shares. Usually you get the decision and the settlement portion is a second phase of the hearings but is completed within a 2 couple of months of the decision.
