Bioasis Technologies Inc. is a Canada-based biopharmaceutical company focused on research and development of technologies and products intended for the treatment of patients with nervous system, including central nervous system, diseases and disorders. The Company is engaged in the development of its xB 3 platform, which is a peptide-based technology, for the transport of therapeutic agents, in particular biological products, across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). It is focused on both orphan drug indications, including brain cancers, and rare genetic neurodegenerative diseases and neuroinflammatory conditions. The Company is also focused on its Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) platform for treating rare and orphan neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders. Its development programs include xB3-001: Brain Metastases, xB3-002: Glioblastoma and xB3-007: Neurodegenerative Disease.

Thanks KayakerBC for all the great, informative articles you post! I am very grateful. Thank you to JD and pmrider as well. You guys are awesome. I would love to hear from TechnicalBuy too as it's been quite a long time!
After reading your first post this morning, KayakerBC,I had wondered how they were administering the drugs to the North Van boy but it seems it was via the intrathecal method. That's great news for BTI shareholders because BTI has a much better delivery method! It's so good that that North Van boy wouldn't even have to go to the hospital to get treated, let alone flying halfway accross North America to get treated (in 2009 I believe).
IMHO, the success of this trial bodes extremely well for the potential of BTI theraputic congugates working in the brain and there is little doubt in my mind that all our collaborators are drooling at the results they have not yet shared with us.
It's a very exciting time for us and I'm very excited being a part of it, watching it all unfold, albeit slowly. One day soon though, the BTI sp is going to get "stupid" as JD likes to say and I fully agree. Look for this day to happen any day soon (I'm drooling too at the thought of it too!). It's going to be positively life changing for the sick, the old, the diseased and all us BTI shareholders!
