RE: New affordable BLACKBERY Q5 is a winner

RE: New affordable BLACKBERY Q5 is a winnerYeah, I love the phone too. While, the upfront price is somewhat lower, your overall monthly costs are far from affordable for many.  The rollout of the new (and considerably more expensive) 2 yr contracts in Cda is going to hit the smartphone makers (esp BB) smack between the eyes imho. Sure, like hell this was all about giving consumers what they want....whatever....  ;)  I believe a lot of sales were pulled forward prior to the changeover and that smartphone sales in Cda will now drop over a cliff in the 2nd half of 2013 as there are no deals to be found now. Those waiting for Verizon to step in and shake up the Cdn market in a meaningful way should not hold their breath.  I think a lot of this so called wheeling and dealing (more like a cup and balls routine) was a sham where at the end of the day we'll somehow wind up paying more and the big three telcos maintain, if not improve their positions.
