RE: Ready Or Not Here I Come!I agree the MSFT/NOK deal was done out of neccesity, but I am not sure you can so far as to label this as a win for BB. Firstly, hopes that MSFT could step up and acquire BB just got dashed today. Secondly, MSFT has pretty much an endless supply of cash to throw at their own endevours. Right now it appears they are throwing good money after bad (but they can afford to, while the BB's of the world can not). It remains to be seen if this will change their fortunes as it pertains to wireless over the long run. As we have witnessed in previous lives (ie. XBOX, IE etc) they can and will figure out a way to buy market share. Looking at it from a different perspective, if MSFT can't make this work with all the resources they've got at their disposal, how on earth can a little co like BB survive and thrive against the likes of GOOG and AAPL in a market that has already matured (and is approaching complete saturation)? As if this wasn't enough, BB can't even catch a break in Canada with all this nonsense regarding wireless co's unfolding as we speak. many people I talked to won't buy a new phone now (regardless of brand) with the new 2 yr contracts being offered and are opting to stay on current month to month plan and use the handset they've got.
