RE: The CEO should go. He seems to be the problem now. Read I'm not sure any CEO can right this ship now. Impulse purchases of new smartphones in Cda have fallen off a cliff ever since the introduction of the new 2 yr plans. The upfront costs are simply too high now for someone to just take flyer on a new handset just for kicks.  IMHO, BB needs all the help they can get. If they can't even gain any traction on their home turf, I can't see them surviving even as a scaled down niche player. Perhaps, this will get sold in some shape of form, but it could be a very complicated and time consuming affair.  For all we know, Lenovo may still step up to the plate and possibly take a page out of HP's playbook (ie. think Palm 2.0) or they may not. Who knows? believe it or not, I actually have a Palm Pre sitting on my shelf collecting dust in my storage room. At the time i thought the thing was leaps and bounds better than anything I'd seen before. It goes to show you that not only do you have to have tremendous marketing muscle (and backdoor connections) in this game to survive, you also need to be in the right place at the right time (as even MSFT is figuring out now).
