Hudbay Minerals Inc. is a copper-focused mining company. Reed Lake Mine Commences Production

Dear VMS followers,

Great news this morning.

Our Reed Copper project has commenced production.

Congratulations to our geo team and the Hudbay team for making it happen on time and on budget.

It is now six years since VMS’ high grade Reed discovery hole was announced. For some shareholders that seems a long time ago, but given mine building schedules around the world these days, Reed has gotten to production remarkably quickly. We will keep you posted

The entire release and a picture of the first truck load of ore from Reed is below.
